Special Section Election Procedures

Dear Section C-6A COC Members –After working out some details with our Region Chairman and Region Chief we will be holding a special COC meeting with the express purpose of holding virtual elections for our Section C-6A officer positions on Sunday, April 19, starting at 1:00pm ET. The election will be held via the Zoom video conference platform and run by Central Region Chief Patrick McInerney. The National Director of the Order of the Arrow has authorized a change to election procedures for those Sections who have had to cancel their Conclaves due to COVID-19. Therefore the stipulation of one youth member to be present at the time of the election for each vote (up to ten) is waived in this instance and each council’s lodge in the section in good standing shall receive ten votes to cast. All persons wishing to participate in this special COC meeting will need to register via this Google Form. Only those registered will be sent the Zoom meeting link to participate and the instructions on how to participate. This registration form will be announced via the Section social media channels. Lodge Chiefs and Advisers will also be sent a list of those from their respective lodges who have registered. Lodge Chiefs, Lodge Advisers, and one additional lodge adult are expected to attend. Lodges will be given time to caucus with their participating members. Lodge chiefs and advisers should confer on how best to do this on their own. Any Arrowman wishing to run for an elected office within Section C-6A must fill out this candidacy form and follow instructions on how to virtually secure signatures and submit to the Section Advisers no later than 7pm ET on Friday, April 17. Instructions on voting procedures will be shared prior to the election. Please ask any questions you may have.
