Council of Chiefs:
The Council of Chiefs, or COC, is the body of youth and advisers that handle all of Section C-6A’s operations. The COC and its members decide on all section matters, plan the annual conclave, and share ideas between all six of our lodges. The Council of Chiefs is lead by the section chief with the aide of the section vice chief and secretary. The three-section officers and the six lodge chiefs are the voting members of the COC. Council of Chiefs meetings are open to all Arrowmen, so talk to your lodge chief if you are interested in serving the Order at the section level!
The Council of Chiefs held their last meeting before the 2018 Conclave on March 4 at the Crossroads of America Council Service Center in Indianapolis. The following Council of Chiefs meetings have been scheduled:
-October 5-6, 2019, at Culver Military Academies
-January 12, 2020, over Conference Call, as long as no Special Election needs to take place
-March 1, 2020, at the Golden Burke Scout Center in Indianapolis (map below)
-April 19, 2020, Sunday Morning of Conclave Immediately Following Section Elections at Culver Military Academies
All COC meetings run from 1:00 – 5:00 PM EST unless otherwise mentioned.
This year, we will be doing Section Officer Elections online due to the cancellation of Conclave. In order to run for a position, you must fill out the Section Officer Candidacy Form, which you can find here. On this form, you must also get approval from your Council Scout Executive (or their designee). Find more information in the email from the Section Adviser.
