Erik Karre started working for the Boy Scouts of America with the Overland Trails Council in 2003 as a District Executive. Currently he works for the Jayhawk Area Council as a District Director. It’s a position he’s held since May of 2015. He went through my Ordeal and Brotherhood in high school in the mid 90’s and was recognized as a Vigil in 2006. He’s served as staff adviser for two different lodged, the Tatanka Anpetu We Lodge and the Dzie-Hauk Tonga Lodge. As staff adviser for the Lodge, Erik helps the volunteers prepare budgets, submits reports to the National Office, arranges for facility use, and ensures the OA stays on track for the activities it puts on and aids in helping the Lodge reach it’s goals. Erik is an Eagle Scout. Prior to working for the Boy Scouts of America he attended Hastings College in Hastings, Nebraska and have a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts. Outside of Scouting he is heavily involved in his church, Christ the King, as a Lector, in the Choir and the Deputy Grand Knight for the Knights of Columbus. He is also involved in the Topeka Civic Theatre and Rotary International were he serves as the Assistant District Governor.
