September Section of the Month: C-1A

Section C-1A is not like most other sections.  Spanning across parts of eight different states, it can be difficult to gather all of the Arrowmen across the section for an event like the Council of Chiefs or Conclave.  But Section C-1A has overcome this challenge by offering a Conclave experience like no other: the opportunity to canoe in the boundary waters at the Northern Tier National High Adventure Base. Other unique activities include a 5K run/walk, log splitting, an Iron Man Competition, and even a training on how to curl.

Another C-1A favorite is their annual Powwow where members of the native community (Lakota & Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe) talk with Arrowmen about Native American culture, education, dancing, and all around life.

Section C-1A also held their Section officer elections at their conclave.  Congratulations to Chief Evan S., Vice Chief, Ian F., and Secretary Colton M.

Currently serving as the Central Region Chief, Patrick's love for scouting and the Order of the Arrow started at a young age and only grows stronger day after day. Patrick studies engineering at Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. When not doing something scouting related, Patrick can be found intensely staring at a black line (swimming). If you smell chlorine, it’s probably him.
