DALLAS- Michael Beckman has just been elected as the 2009 Central Region Chief at the National Planning Meeting in Dallas, Texas.

Michael is from Ku-Ni-Eh Lodge in the Dan Beard Council of Cincinatti, OH. Michael was previously the Section Chief of Section C-4B. Michael currently attends the College of Mount Saint Joseph, and is an Eagle Scout. Michael is a Vigil Honor and Founder’s Award Recipient, has served as chapter chief, lodge chief, and section chief. Michael has attended NOAC, OA Wilderness Voyage, OA Ocean Adventure, and the National Leadership Seminar. In his free time, Michael enjoys bowling, baseball, computer, arts, and high adventure.

Michael will be responsible for planning the four National Leadership Seminars and the two NLATS this year in the Central Region. Michael will also be working with the Field Operations Planning Committee at NOAC, which is responsible for region and lodge operations. Michael will also plan the Region Gathering to be held at NOAC, that many of you will attend.
